Code Girls United’s Visit to Washington D.C.
Cassie Monaco, Board Member of Code Girls United, accompanied Emma, Isabelle, and Makayla (Code Girls Tech Trio Team) to Washing D.C. for the Congressional App Challenge in April 2023. The Tech Trio presented their App, “Found,” which helps to combat the issue of human trafficking. While in D.C. the group had the opportunity to visit with Montana’s elected Senators and Congressmen.

The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust Fundraiser
Sókn Engineering was invited to attend a fundraiser for the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust held in West Palm Beach, FL, February 2023. The Queen's Commonwealth Trust is a charity that supports young people aged 18-35 across the Commonwealth. The focus is on social entrepreneurs who have founded organizations to address problems in their communities. Queen Elizabeth II was the charity's patron.

The Vine Global Impact
Sókn Engineering was highlighted and presented at a recent gathering of The Vine Global Impact in Boston, MA, December 2022. The Vine Global Impact is a trusted space for family offices, philanthropists, and world leaders to connect for cultural diplomacy and impact.

State of Montana and Governor Greg Gianforte
In January 2023, Sókn Engineering was invited by the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce to attend a fireside chat with Montana Governor Greg Gianforte. During the event, Governor Gianforte unveiled his budget for 2023 families – a spending plan his office defined as “a historic pro-family, pro jobs proposal.” Governor Gianforte’s policies continue to make Montana a business-friendly state.

Fly Zolo Sponsorship

Sókn Engineering was the first corporate sponsor of Fly Zolo. Zara Rutherford, at the age of 19, became the youngest woman to fly around the world solo in a Shark aircraft, covering 52 countries and five continents. The sponsorship was part of Sókn Engineering’s ongoing commitment to women in STEM and the spirit of entrepreneurial women. Following Sókn in its sponsorship was Virgin Atlantic, Bose, ICD Soft, among others. Ms. Rutherford completed her round the world flight in January 2022.

Let’s Be Bold
In Partnership with Whitefish Chamber of Commerce
Sókn Engineering, in partnership with the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce, founded the Let’s Be Bold campaign in the Montana Flathead Valley. Let’s Be Bold mission is to mentor, support and bring out the best in one another.
Let’s Be Bold is an opportunity to meet other businesswomen and tap into their knowledge & expertise. The goal is for our women’s business community to connect and create valuable relationships and friendships. Let’s Be Bold meets quarterly for a networking event where businesswomen meet to share experiences, ideas, successes and failures. During these meetings, they learn from each other, help each other achieve ambitious goals and encourage each other outside our comfort zones to embrace being BOLD in our ideas and achievements, and authentic in our life’s story.

Sókn Engineering hosted a women's networking event at Stumptown Wine Bar in Whitefish, MT. The event was such a huge success, it became the prelude for the Whitefish Chamber’s Let’s Be Bold Campaign.

Women in STEM Scholarships
Sókn Engineering is proud to award a scholarship to a graduating high school senior planning to study a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field in pursuing her education at a university or trade school. The award goes to a young woman who has demonstrated excellence in the classroom as well as community involvement. Awarding a scholarship is in line with our mission of fostering innovation and creating opportunities for women in STEM.
